We’re going to be having Linear Appraisals (a method of evaluating how well each goat conforms to the standard of perfection for that goat breed) done on the goats this week, so in preparation I trimmed them up. The older does have all been clipped/shaved before, so their appearance after trimming wasn’t a big surprise. But, when we trimmed Ruby, we found a really nice looking little doeling under all that fur.
Here she is pre-trimming – nice looking but it’s hard to tell much.
And here she is after trimming her up, what a nice, refined looking little dairy goat!
Can’t wait to see how she does in Linear Appraisal!
