 These natural pine cone ornaments are not only beautiful; they’re easy to make and inexpensive as well. All it takes are some pinecones (gathered for free in our case), spray paint, ribbon, and a glue gun. I chose to make them using metallic gold paint and gold ribbon, but they could be made in whatever color suited the decorating situation.

 I’ve been admiring the Nigerian Dwarf bucks and does from Old Mountain Farm for quite a while, and was plotting how I’d eventually add one to the herd when I learned that the doe OMF Hot Tea was available. So, I immediately indicated my interest; and when she tested negative for Brucellosis, CAE, CL, Johnes, and Tuberculosis – brought her home. I’m so excited to have her at Bramblestone Farm!

 I’m not sure my container plantings are always gorgeous, but they usually turn out pretty nice due to one trick I learned years ago – use at least one “thriller”, “filler”, and “spiller” when planting the container. And if you’ve got room, throw in a “chiller” to make it exciting. I read about the concept long ago, but every year as I’m picking out plants for containers, it seems someone asks how I go about planning a beautiful container planting.
