Bramblestone Ostara Quinn

Bramblestone Cal Ostara Quinn (aka Tara) is the polled daughter of 5*M Old Mountain Farm Taylor Quinn *D and Dragonfly HLJ Calvary *S. So, she has fantastic Old Mountain Farm and Dragonfly bloodlines.

The photo above is of Tara as a second freshener, and you can see how much more capacious she is as a second freshener than as a first freshener when comparing her pictures below. She should have no problems getting her milking star(s) to become a 6th generation star milker.

Her dam is a fifth-generation star milker and her sire’s dam is the spectacular SG ARMCH Flat Rocks Here For The Party *D with a linear appraisal score of 90 EEEV (scroll down to see a photo of her)! Tara’s coloration makes her look like a “mini-me” of her dam, but I believe Tara’s an improvement conformationally.

Tara’s first freshening udder (2018) was quite impressive and she also scored an 87 in linear appraisal as a first freshener!

I am very excited about this doe and seeing what she becomes. She was one of only five does that we took to the ADGA 2018 National Show in Columbus, Ohio. Here’s a picture of her udder from the National Show:

After freshening the first time, Tara really wanted nothing to do her twin kids. She wouldn’t hurt them, but she wouldn’t hold still for them to nurse either. We chuckled as she would run away from the little kids following her all over. We called them her little demons, they just wouldn’t stop chasing her around 🙂 We had to hold Tara frequently for the first 12 hours so they could nurse. After that, she finally “got it” and has always been a wonderful mother.

The photo below is of Tara as a dry yearling in 2017.
