3*M Bramblestone Amethyst *D

Amethyst is one of the first polled does born on the farm that we’ve retained, and I’m excited about how she’s maturing. She just seems to be so nicely put together. As a third freshener, her udder is really starting to look fantastic and she scored an 87 in linear appraisal.

Here’s a rear view of her udder:

I love this photo because she’s like “what’re you looking at?”

In her first linear appraisal as a dry yearling, the appraiser was very complimentary about how she’s put together, and in her second as a first freshener, she scored an 84. That excellent for a first freshener.

Amethyst also earned her milking stars in both AGS and ADGA as a first freshener and was Reserve Grand Champion in her second show.

She’s the grand-daughter of our very first doe, Bit ‘O’ Honey, who is very conformationally correct (Honey earned her Superior Genetics designation, milking stars as a 2nd freshener, and an 89 in linear appraisal as a 3rd freshener).

Her dam, Ruby, earned her 1st Championship leg, her milking stars, and scored an 87 in linear appraisal as a third freshener. So, it’s not really surprising that Amethyst is developing so beautifully.
