Old Mountain Farm Springloaded

Another handsome Old Mountain Farm buck, Springloaded (aka Springer) joined Bramblestone Farm in the summer of 2016. As usual with the OMF goats, he brings exciting genetics to our herd. And good looks too – he is so handsome!

Old Mountain Farm Springloaded – 2 Year Old

Springer’s dam, Old Mountain Farm Parti Favah scored 90 VEEE for her permanent excellent linear appraisal score. She’s a gorgeous doe and has obviously passed her beauty down to her son.

Springer’s sire, Old Mountain Farm Darius Quinn is littermate brother to Old Mountain Farm Cyrus Quinn. Cyrus is the 2017 ADGA National Reserve Get of Sire and 2018 ADGA National Get of Sire!

Springer’s grandsire is a littermate brother to the 2018 ADGA National Best Udder Doe, 3*M SGCH Old Mountain Farm Sunday Drive 3*D.

In the fall of 2018, after breeding either Harle Quinn or Ostara Quinn, Springloaded suffered an injury that caused him to develop a urinary blockage. The next day we called the Vet but he didn’t realize what was causing the issue. On Saturday, we took him to Columbus to the Veterinary school but it was too late and they couldn’t save him.  I was heartbroken over losing Springloaded! He was my dream buck and I was so excited about having him on the farm and seeing his progeny.Springloaded sired 9 kids while living, 4 in 2018 and 5 in 2019. The 2018 kids out of Amethyst were Gold Dust (Mitten Acres), and Copper (Deceased) while the kids out of  Ostara Quinn were Primavera Quinn (Deceased) and Cosmos Quinn (Ashley Krueger on ADGA registration). The 2019 kids out of Harle Quinn were Eowyn (ChubbEAcres), Legolas (Cindy ?), and Arwyn (Deceased) while the kids out of Ostara Quinn were Sandy Quinn (Cindy ?) and Kieryn Quinn (Deceased).

Had we not moved to Hilton Head, the plan was to retain Eowyn, Legolas, and Sandy Quinn in 2019.
