Homesteading Blogs Listed By State

Homestead Blogs Listed By State This Homesteading Blogs Listed By State compilation has been updated again (as of January 2021)!

It’s been updated to remove blogs that no longer appear to be posting (although I was pretty lenient on this because of the year we’ve had in 2020) and add some terrific new homesteading blogs!

All of these awesome blogs are separated by U.S. location and there’s even a spot for some great blogs from our Canadian friends!

This list was originally inspired by a reader at Texas Homesteader who suggested that since cooking directions can change based on altitude and gardening plans differ based on planting zone, such a listing would be beneficial for blog readers.

All the blogs that were included in the list were asked to share it on their blogs as well.

May I be considered to be added at a later date, when I’m more established? I’m also in Tennessee, and come from a long line of farmers and homesteaders. I’m just getting started on my own journey, and I’m coming at it from an angle of being neuroatypical.

Someone above said something about “others doing the same craziness as we are” and that is exactly how I feel too. Can I include this list on my homesteading website? Hi Lisa, Indeed I did, how could I have done that? You’re on the list now, let me know if you want the blurb about your site changed to something else.

    Hey Lesa!

I love this idea! There are so many people looking for region or area-specific help and resources for gardening and farming. This makes it really easy for people to find that information!

I’m in West Tennessee, you can add mine if you’d like. http://www.farminence.com. I write about gardening, raising livestock and the occasional recipe or canning post.

Thanks again for putting this awesome resource together!

    Hi Lesa!

Groovy that you have Living Intentionally listed on your article for New Hampshire, it’s a great place to visit during our cold NH winters, bundled in front of the fire with a cup of coffee:) There’s something about reading how others are doing the same craziness as we are, loving every minute.

I also write a homesteading blog out of NH called Unexplained Underfoot Objects, and would love to be included. I write about being off grid with a blended family, moving through the year and doing what we can the best way we know how:)

    Thank you!

This is fantastic! Thank you for compiling the list – I’m always looking for other homesteaders & bloggers in my area to connect with! I’m in Southwest Idaho and would be happy to share my blog on your list if you are interested in adding it.

Hi Lesa…good to see your site again! I needed to take some time away from blogging for health reasons, but happy to say I am back to homesteading and blogging in Illinois!

I would love to be added to your list if possible.
