Of course, you can create one for any occasion simply by changing the type of floral accent and bow that you use.
They make nice decorations or gifts particularly if you’re looking for frugal ideas (and drink wine). I find it difficult to throw those wine corks out, so we always seem to have a supply.
How To Make A Wine Cork Wreath
Supplies Needed:
The materials needed to complete the wreath are minimal and inexpensive:
- straw wreath form (I used a 12″ diameter form for the wreath shown below)
- floral spray (in season-appropriate colors) that you can snip off for floral accents
- large bow or decorative swag
- wine corks
- hot glue gun
Making The Wreath:
Step 1: Hot-glue the wine corks to the straw wreath form in a random pattern. The wine corks should cover the top and outer sides of the straw wreath form. But, a small area at the top or side of the wreath should be left empty. This is where you’ll put your decorative bow or swag.

Step 2:Â Once all the wine corks are in place, cut sprigs from the floral spray and glue them into the empty spaces between the wine corks.

Step 3:Â Then attach the bow or swag to the empty space at the top or side to create the finished wreath.

That’s all there is to it! You have a beautiful, seasonal wreath for decorating or gift-giving. For additional inspiration, below is a wreath made using a side swag instead of a ribbon on top:
And here’s one that’s made entirely from champagne corks!
